Welcome to our guide on Disneyland Paris Meal Plans, where we share our firsthand experience and insights into whether these plans are worth adding to your Hotel & Ticket package.
At Disneyland Paris, planning your dining options can be as magical as planning your park adventures. The Disneyland Paris Meal Plans, also known as the Disney Dining Plans, offer a convenient way to enjoy a variety of dining experiences without the hassle of budgeting for meals each day. For us, it was a game-changer, allowing us to focus more on the magic of the parks and less on meal costs.
When booking your stay at a Disneyland Paris hotel, you have the option to add a Meal Plan to your package. This prepaid option covers your meals for the duration of your stay, offering flexibility in terms of where and what you eat. Whether you’re staying at the adventurous Davy Crockett Ranch, the charming Hotel Cheyenne, or the relaxing Sequoia Lodge there’s a plan tailored to suit your dining preferences and budget. With different tiers like Standard, Plus, and Extra Plus, each offering varying levels of meals and additional perks, there’s a plan to fit every family’s needs.
In addition to these, when we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, we had access to a special meal plan, which includes as much character dining as you want!
So, let’s discover if the Disneyland Paris Meal Plans are worth it and which one is right for your magical vacation!
Is the Disneyland Paris Meal Plan Worth it?
One of the most popular questions we’re asked is whether the Disneyland Paris meal plan is worth it? In a simple word YES, you can save money with the meal plan, and let us show you why….
Let’s break it down using a typical family scenario: two adults and two children on a half-board meal plan, which ranges from €158 to €198 depending on where you stay per day.
This way, you can see firsthand whether the meal plan offers better value compared to paying for meals individually throughout your stay.
We highly recommend adding a meal plan to your booking, and when you book directly with Disneyland Paris, you can book specific restaurants up to 12 months before you go, including character dining options!
Our Disneyland Paris Meal Plan review
For our review, we’ll compare our 3 days with the Half Board Plus meal plan at Sequoia Lodge and the price it would have cost if we didn’t have the meal plan, in other words Meal Plan Vs Pay as you Go.
Each day the meal plan cost for 2 adults and 2 children at the Sequoia Lodge is €210.
Day 1
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Dinner at Manhattan (Hotel New York – Art of Marvel)
- With plan €210
- Without plan €252 (choosing the cheapest option)
- Saved €42
The buffet breakfast at the hotel is included in our meal plan. Without the plan, this would cost €82 €24 for adults and €17 for children)
For dinner we went to Casa de Coco for a quick bite to eat. As we didn’t use a meal voucher on this, the cost of this quick service would be the same with or without the meal plan.
Our first night we ate at one of our favourite Italian restaurants, Manhattan, inside the Hotel New York – Art of Marvel Hotel. With the meal plan, we enjoyed a starter, main and dessert in exchange for our meal vouchers.
With starters averaging €19, mains at €35, and desserts at €13, you’ll find the cost add up quickly to well over €250. You could choose to purchase the meal plan menu at the restaurant which would be priced at €55 per adult and €30 per child, totaling €170 which would be cheaper than purchasing the items separately.

Day 2
- Breakfast at Plaza Gardens
- Dinner at Captain Jacks
- With plan €250 (includes character dining supplement)
- Without plan €320 (choosing the cheapest option)
- Saved €70
We upgraded our breakfast voucher to a character dining breakfast at Plaza Gardens. We had to pay a small supplement to upgrade this meal voucher but without the plan, this would cost €180.
For dinner, we enjoyed Cowboy BBQ cookout, another fantastic quick service location at Disneyland Paris. As we didn’t use a meal voucher on this, the cost of this quick service would be the same with or without the meal plan.
On our second night, we decided to eat at Captain Jacks. The theming of this restaurant is amazing, as you dine inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and can wave at boats as they pass by.
With starters averaging €18, mains at €36, and desserts at €15, you’ll find the cost add up quickly to well over €250. You could choose to purchase the meal plan menu at the restaurant which would be priced at €45 per adult and €25 per child, totaling €140 which would be cheaper than purchasing the items separately.
Day 3
- Breakfast at Sequoia
- Lunch at the Royal Banquet
- With plan €350 (includes character dining supplement)
- Without plan €382 (choosing the cheapest option)
- Saved €32
The buffet breakfast at the hotel is covered by our meal plan. Without the plan, this would cost €82 (€24 for adults and €17 for children).
On our third day, we opted for lunch at the Royal Banquet. We wanted to experience this restaurant once again and as the restaurant is exclusive for Disneyland Hotel guests for dinner, we only had the option to choose lunch.
This is a buffet restaurant and with the meal plan, we had to pay a supplement, which we added to our complete Hotel & Ticket package. Without the meal plan, this is priced at €100 per adult and €50 per child.
What did we learn about the meal plan?
The price for our meal plan was €65 per adult, but this can differ per hotel. As most lunch or dinner options are priced between €45-55, as we had breakfast in the hotel each day we easily saved money, but there are some key points to consider
- purchasing the meal plan allows you to spread the cost as it’s added to your Hotel & Ticket package and prepay for your main meals before you visit.
- it costs more to upgrade to a character dining experience on-site than adding it to your package before your visit
- you still need to book restaurant reservations. If you add character dining, you can secure these reservations up to 12 months in advance.
- Disneyland Paris no longer provides paper meal vouchers, these are now linked to your Magic Pass (room key).
- Meal vouchers are not dated. If you choose a half-board meal plan, you can use two meal vouchers one day if you wish.
- In table service restaurants each meal voucher includes a starter, main course and dessert.
- In all-you-can-eat restaurants each meal voucher includes access to the buffet and a soft drink.
- Meal plans are not available for children under the age of 3. They can either share their parents’ meals on site or meals can be purchased at the listed price.

How do you use our Disneyland Paris Meal Plan Vouchers?
- We advise you pre-book all your restaurants as soon as they become available.
- When we arrived at the restaurant, the Cast Member asked if we had the meal plan.
- They then brought us the Meal Plan menu and advised us of what is included.
- After the meal the Cast Member took our Magic Pass (room key) and the meal vouchers were counted and removed. You only need to provide one magic pass per group.
- For any additional drinks we purchased, we then paid for these after this was deducted.
What is the difference between Standard or Plus Meal Plan?
- Lunch/Dinner vouchers
- Standard meal plans can only have one table-service or all-you-can-eat meal per day, this may be an issue for people choosing the full board option. One meal will have to be at a quick service location.
- Plus meal plans have the option to choose
- Last Day Meal
- All Full Board Meal Plan options now include a meal on the last day, that can be used for lunch or dinner in restaurants available with your Meal Plan in the Disney Parks, Disney Hotels and Disney Village. .

Choosing the right meal plan depends on your family’s dining preferences, schedule, and budget. Each plan offers unique benefits designed to enhance your Disneyland Paris vacation, ensuring you spend less time worrying about meals and more time creating magical memories with loved ones.
Should I choose the Half Board or Full Board Meal Plan at Disneyland Paris?
For us, having three full meals a day can sometimes feel like a bit much. If you don’t dine at two table service restaurants daily, the full-board meal plan might end up costing more. Besides the cost, it also takes away time from enjoying the parks.
In our experience, we find it more enjoyable to have breakfast and one sit-down meal each day. For snacks or a quick bite, we prefer grabbing something light or quick-service when hunger strikes. If this sounds like your style, opting for the half-board meal plan over the full-board could be a smarter choice.
Is the Disneyland Paris Standard meal plan worth it?
Is the Disneyland Paris Plus meal plan worth it?
The Plus meal plan is exclusively available to guests staying at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, Disney’s Newport Bay Club, and Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. Choosing wisely where to use your meal vouchers can save you hundreds of euros throughout your stay!
Is the Disneyland Paris Premium meal plan worth it?
Exclusively for guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel, the Premium meal plan can provide the biggest cost savings if you want to experience character dining!
Each meal voucher can be used at any character dining location even at Table de Lumiere which is €120 per adult, meaning you’ll quickly save money on your trip.
If you don’t want to experience character dining, then maybe this meal plan is not for you.
Does the Disneyland Paris Meal Plan include character dining?
Only the Disneyland Hotel Premium meal plan includes character dining, however, this doesn’t mean you can’t experience character dining with the meal plan.
You can upgrade any meal voucher for a character dining experience at Disneyland Paris.
This is a great way to save money! On our last visit, we stayed at the Sequoia Lodge and upgraded some meal vouchers to character dining. We paid an additional €14 each for character breakfast, and €50 each for the Royal Banquet.
The average meal plan option at each restaurant has a base price of €40-45. By upgrading your meal vouchers you save more money. The Royal Banquet should be €100, and Plaza Character breakfast is €50, so by upgrading before we went saved us an additional €20 per person.
