World of Frozen –Hidden Details and Opening Date Rumours!

Disneyland Paris fans, get ready to dust off your snow boots because World of Frozen is slowly but surely coming to life. The latest 2026–2027 brochure confirms that this long-awaited addition will open in Spring 2026, though Disney hasn’t pinned down an exact date yet, but we have spotted some details which make sense, with two key dates in the running the park’s birthday on 12th April, or a slightly earlier on the 16th March for the birthday of Walt Disney Studios? This could be a celebration and name change all in one!

One of the fun little nuggets from the brochure is the shop names. The main World of Frozen store will be called Arendelle Boutique, while the merchandise kiosk in the harbour has a fittingly chilly name, Fjord View

Interestingly, the park map doesn’t quite tell the full story yet. There’s no dedicated Frozen land shown, and Disney Adventure World isn’t fully highlighted either—just a small banner teasing things to come. It’s a subtle reminder that this is still very much a work in progress, and we’ll likely see more official map updates as the opening gets closer.

And for those holding out hope for Frozen: A Musical Invitation, the brochure offers some bittersweet news. The show isn’t mentioned anywhere, suggesting it will close permanently when World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World open in Spring 2026. It’s sad to see it go, but it also makes space for brand-new experiences or shows!

Character Dining Shake-Up

Whilst booking our trips for 2026 we noticed some big changes for character dining, starting with Plaza Gardens. For bookings from April 2026, this classic spot doesn’t appear on the list of available restaurants. Disney hasn’t confirmed anything, but rumours are swirling that it might be closing for refurbishment. It has been rumoured for a long time now that the restaurant will be closing for refurb, and this has added fuel to the fire.

Disney has also hinted that Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, set in Disney Adventure World, will launch alongside World of Frozen in Spring 2026. This could be more than just a new dining option—it may give us important clues about the Frozen opening itself. Disney has always made it clear that Plaza Gardens wouldn’t close while no alternative character experiences were available.

With Regal View set to open at the same time, this could be the replacement they have been waiting for and add more fuel to the rumours of a World of Frozen opening date on Disneyland Paris’ birthday on 12th April, or slightly earlier on 16th March, coinciding with the anniversary of Walt Disney Studios?

Princess Dining Updates

Meanwhile, Auberge de Cendrillon is getting a small twist on its traditional princess dining. From April 2026, the description suggests that Mickey will be joining the Disney Princesses. It’s a fun way to mix things up while keeping that classic fairytale magic intact.

So what can you actually book right now? For hotel and ticket packages, the options remain Royal Banquet, Table de Lumière, and Auberge. Character dining can be added when booking a hotel and ticket package, which is a handy tip for families wanting to plan ahead.

Other Key Updates

It’s not just Frozen and character dining getting a refresh in 2026–2027. There are a few more updates that guests should know about when planning their Disneyland Paris trip.

Disney Village is expanding, with the new Italian restaurant Casa Giulia from Groupe Bertrand slated for a provisional opening in Late 2026. While details are still emerging, it promises to add a fresh dining option for families, friends, or anyone craving a taste of Italy after a day in the parks.

Over at Disney Sequoia Lodge, a refurbishment is planned for January 2026. The hotel will remain open throughout, with work carried out only during the day. Guests can look forward to rooms themed around “Tales from the Forest”, while the lobby and common areas will also receive a welcome refresh. It sounds like the kind of makeover that keeps the cozy, woodland charm of the lodge but gives it a modern, storybook twist.

Booking dates are now open too. UK guests were able to start booking from 2nd September, while EU bookings opened on 9th September.

What These Changes Tell Us About 2026

Looking at all the updates, one thing is clear: 2026 is shaping up to be a major year at Disneyland Paris. Between the arrival of World of Frozen, Disney Adventure World, New attractions themed to Up and Rapunzel, new character dining experiences, new Lake Drone show, and exciting restaurant and hotel refreshes, there’s plenty for fans old and new to get excited about.

The launch of Regal View Restaurant & Lounge alongside Frozen could give us some clues about the much-anticipated opening date. Could it coincide with Disneyland Paris’ birthday on 12th April, or perhaps a slightly earlier opening on 16th March for Walt Disney Studios’ anniversary? Disney hasn’t confirmed, but these hints are enough to keep the speculation—and excitement—buzzing.
