Gold Disneyland Pass Review 2025
Should I buy the Gold Disneyland Paris Annual Pass?
The Disneyland Pass, the new Disneyland Paris Annual Pass
Updated 21st May 2025
Let’s face it — a trip to Disneyland Paris isn’t cheap. With prices creeping up across park tickets, food, and even hotel stays, it’s no surprise that more guests are now exploring how to save, whether that’s through hotel offers or by investing in a Disneyland Paris Annual Pass (or Pass Annuel, as it’s known across Europe). But with three tiers to choose from — Bronze, Silver, and Gold — the big question we kept hearing (and asking ourselves) was: Is the Gold Disneyland Pass worth it?
We’ve been there. After previously holding the now-retired Infinity Pass (which came with a lot of perks), we made the switch to the Gold Disneyland Pass — the current top-tier option in the Disneyland Paris Annual Pass line-up. It’s the most expensive of the bunch, and with that comes big expectations. So in this honest review, we’re breaking it all down based on our own experience: 15–18 visits over the past year, including Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s, and exclusive Annual Pass events.
Whether you’re a regular magic-seeker like us or planning a few extra-special trips, we’re sharing exactly what you get with the Gold Disneyland Pass, how it stacked up in value, and whether we think it’s the smart choice for 2025.

What Is the Disneyland Paris Gold Pass?
The Disneyland Paris Gold Pass is your all-in-one park ticket for the year, giving you ‘unlimited’ access to both parks every day — no blackout dates, no extra entry fees, as well as providing you with special discounts and access to special events .
Let’s start with the basics. The Gold Disneyland Pass is the top-tier option in the new lineup of annual passes — sitting above the Silver and Bronze passes (yep, like the Olympic podium). It replaced what used to be called the Infinity Pass, and while there’s been a lot of change over the years, Gold now offers the most benefits you can get under the current system.
So, what do you actually get with the Gold Pass?
- 365 days of park access — no blockout dates, so you can visit whenever you like (including Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve).
- Up to 15% off food and merchandise, which adds up fast if you visit regularly.
- PhotoPass included, which is one of our favourite perks — more on that later.
- Free parking (even though we don’t use this, our friends who drive say this is a huge money saver).
- Priority access to event tickets and Annual Pass-exclusive extras like limited-edition merchandise or early previews.
- It also includes the ability to make up to three park reservations at once, just like the other tiers — and this is one area we really wish Disney would rethink (we’ll explain why later on).
We picked the Gold Pass not just for the perks, but because the lower-tier passes simply wouldn’t work for us due to their blockout dates — more on that in the next section. But if you’re weighing up which pass suits you, knowing what’s included (and what isn’t) is the best place to start.
Let’s break that down.
Why We Chose the Disneyland Paris Gold Pass Over the Silver
We previously held the Disneyland Paris Infinity Pass (the top level of 4 tiers before the system changed to the Disneyland Pass), which offered more benefits than the current Gold Disneyland Pass — especially around hotel deals, privilege tickets, special viewing areas and so much more. While some of those perks are now missing, when it came time to pick our annual pass, we knew the Silver Disneyland Pass just wasn’t going to cut it for the times of year we want to visit.
The biggest reason we went with the Gold Pass was flexibility — no blackout dates. We visit Disneyland Paris regularly throughout the year, including key seasons like Halloween, Christmas, and the park’s anniversary in April. These are some of the most magical times to be at the parks, but unfortunately, they’re all blocked out on the Bronze and Silver Pass levels.
We also love doing long weekends and making the most of bank holidays, especially in May, but again, the Silver pass blocks out all May weekends. So, for us, it wasn’t really a question of “is Gold worth it?” — it was the only pass that matched how we do Disney.
Buying individual day tickets during those blackout periods would’ve cost us far more than just upgrading to Gold. So even though it’s the highest tier, the Gold Pass ended up saving us money and letting us visit Disneyland Paris at the times we want.
What About Families or Groups?
While we mostly travel as a couple, we’ve spoken with friends and fellow passholders who visit with kids or in larger groups — and the savings stack up fast, especially now Disneyland Paris have introduced a cheaper annual pass for children.
For example, if a family of four visits just twice a year for 3–4 days each time, they could be looking at over €2000 in park tickets alone during high seasons. With the Gold Disneyland Pass, those same visits are covered — and they benefit from PhotoPass access (worth it just for the character meet-and-greets), plus the food and merch discounts across the parks.
However, if you don’t plan on visiting as a family more than 2/3 times in a year, and want to be spontaneous with your visits, we would highly recommend you look for the hotel & ticket offers as this may be a cheaper option for you.
How Much We Saved With the Gold Disneyland Pass
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again — if you visit Disneyland Paris regularly, the Gold Disneyland Pass isn’t just a nice perk, it’s an absolute money-saver. Across our 15–18 visits this year, each ranging from 3 to 6 days, the savings quickly added up.
For example, when we look at just one of our longer visits — a 5-day trip over Christmas and New Year’s — the total cost for tickets alone would be around €600 per person. The Gold Disneyland Pass? It costs only €699 for the entire year. It’s still a lot of money, but compared to the annual passes in the USA this is still a ‘cheap’ option.
To put it in perspective, if we had paid for individual park tickets for every visit, we would’ve spent well over €4000, so much more than cost of the Gold Pass. With the Gold Pass, we paid a flat rate (we had options of a single payment or to pay the pass monthly) and visited as often as we liked.
And it’s not just the ticket savings. We’ve saved hundreds more with the 15% discount on dining — and yes, we use it everywhere. From a quick coffee stop to full table-service meals, that discount stacks up fast over multiple days in the parks.
One of our favourite included benefits is PhotoPass+. We’ve collected over 2,500 photos this year alone — mostly from character meets — and we love it. Some of the candid moments the photographers have captured are genuinely priceless, and the fact we didn’t have to pay extra each time made the experience even better.
Even though we fly in and don’t use the free parking, it’s still worth noting how valuable that benefit is. Most of our friends drive, and with parking at €30 a day, that’s €120 saved on just a 4-day trip — and it’s unlimited with the Gold Pass.
That means the pass nearly covers itself with just one longer visit during peak dates. Everything else — the other 14+ visits, discounts on food and merchandise, free parking for friends who drive, and PhotoPass+ — is pure bonus.
Gold Disneyland Pass (€699/ year)
The Gold Disneyland Pass is the crème de la crème for true Disneyland Paris fans. With 365 days of park access, free parking, and a 15% discount at shops and restaurants, it’s packed with perks. You’ll also get a free Annual PhotoPass to capture every magical moment, and enjoy exclusive early park entry with Extra Magic Time.
Gold Pass starts saving you money if you visit about 7 times for a 1-day ticket.
- 1-day ticket savings: After 6.47 visits (about 7 visits)
- 2-day ticket savings: After 3.33 visits (3-4 visits)
- 3-day ticket savings: After 2.83 visits (around 3 visits)
- 4-day ticket savings: After 2.15 visits (about 2 visits)
Disneyland Paris Gold Pass Benefits
(and What Actually Matters)
- No blockout dates
- Free Parking
- Access to Exclusive Events
- Access to Pop-Up Surprises
- Save up to 15% on Food
- Save up to 15% on Dining
- Free or discounted Disney PhotoPass
- Access Extra Magic Time (Gold)
- You can only hold 3 park reservations
The Gold Disneyland Pass isn’t just your ticket to the parks all year—it comes packed with perks that really enhance your visits. Here’s a breakdown of the key benefits and why they matter to us:
Park Access & Reservations
The Gold Pass gives you the freedom to visit whenever you like, but there’s still a limit of three active park reservations at any time—even for Gold members. This means you can plan ahead, but not endlessly book every date at once. For those ultra-busy days, like New Year’s Eve or Christmas, sometimes the parks reach capacity. We’ve found a smart workaround: staying at a Disney hotel on those nights guarantees park access without using one of your reservation slots. It’s a small extra cost, but worth it to make sure you don’t miss out.
Extra Magic Time
As a Gold Passholder we also get Extra Magic Time, which lets us into the parks 60 minutes before they officially open. That means we have been able to ride our favourite attractions with shorter queues, or meet some special characters. It’s an underrated perk — especially during busy school holidays.
Dining & Shopping Discounts (15%)
We always use our 15% discount on food, drinks, and merchandise—it really adds up! Whether grabbing a quick snack or enjoying a sit-down meal, saving 15% feels like a little extra magic each time. Over the year, this discount has saved us a surprising amount, making the pass pay for itself in tasty treats and souvenirs.
We’ve used the 15% discount everywhere — from grabbing coffees and snacks between rides to indulging in full table-service meals at places like Walt’s or Bistrot Chez Rémy, buffet restaurants like Downtown and it’s especially handy for character dining. Character Dining is the most expensive dining option at Disneyland Paris, which means bigger savings with the annual pass discounts! The same goes for shopping: whether it’s plush toys, ears, or that one souvenir you always convince yourself to buy, the discount adds up quickly.
Free PhotoPass+
If you love meeting characters and capturing memories, the PhotoPass+ is a must-have. The photographers at Disneyland Paris are amazing, snapping tons of great shots so you don’t have to worry about getting your own photos. Plus, they capture candid moments you just can’t get on your own. Having the PhotoPass+ included with Gold is a game-changer, especially for families or anyone who loves character meet-and-greets.
Free Parking
While free parking isn’t a big deal for us since we usually fly, it’s a huge benefit for friends and families who drive. For example, parking for four days can cost around €120, so this perk alone makes a big difference if you’re behind the wheel.
Access to Annual Pass Tickets for Guests (extra cost)
As a Gold Pass holder, you can buy discounted tickets for friends and family (around €60 each). It’s not free, but it’s a handy option if you want to bring guests along without paying full price. Just keep in mind these tickets are limited and only available at select times throughout the year.
Special Events Access (extra cost)
With the Gold Pass, you get access to special events like Annual Pass Parties as well as rare character meets at the Pop-Up Surprises. These unique experiences really add to the magic and keep you coming back to the park to experience new things. These are available to all Disneyland Pass levels!
Our Experience using the Gold Disneyland Pass
After a full year with the Gold Disneyland Pass, here’s what our visits have really been like:
We’re big fans of spending long weekends or multi-day trips at Disneyland Paris, usually 3 to 6 days at a time, adding up to about 15-18 visits a year. Having the Gold Pass means we can jump in whenever we want without worrying about ticket costs.
Booking park access ahead of time has generally been smooth, though the limit of three active reservations can feel a little tight, especially during busy periods. We’d love to see this number increased for Gold Pass holders so we could plan more visits and not have to book trips without knowing if we can enter the park with the pass. As we write this, we have realised that it’s all about planning. We always reserve the key date first, which we think may sell out, such as New Year’s Eve or the park’s birthday, and then book the days around this once more of our reservations become available.
The 15% discount on food and merchandise definitely makes a difference. Over the year, it’s saved us quite a bit—enough that it almost feels like a small reward for being loyal visitors. We have learned to choose the places we buy our snacks from to maximise the discount. Generally, the carts don’t offer a discount, so we always go into a store to buy drinks.
Plus, having PhotoPass+ included meant we didn’t have to worry about taking pictures ourselves, allowing us to really enjoy moments with characters and soak in the atmosphere, whilst also saving us another 85 euro!
We did face a challenge over New Year’s Eve, as park capacity was limited for a couple of days. Thanks to knowing the rules, we booked a Disney hotel room for one night to guarantee access. While that was an extra expense, it was worth it not to miss out on the celebrations. Remember, you can book room only stays at any of the Disneyland Paris hotels, and when staying in a Disney hotel you are guaranteed access to the parks and don’t need to use one of your reservation days!
Overall, the important thing to highlight is that the Gold Pass has saved us a considerable amount of money!
Our Final Verdict on the Disneyland Paris Gold Pass
For us, the Gold Disneyland Pass has been absolutely worth it—and we’re renewing.
Over the past year, we visited the parks around 15 times, across multiple seasons and events. Just our 5-day New Year trip alone would’ve cost around €600 in tickets, and that’s just one visit. The Gold Pass is €699 for the entire year, and when you add in food and merchandise discounts, PhotoPass access, and the ability to come during blockout-heavy periods like Halloween and Christmas, the savings speak for themselves.
Sure, the savings add up quickly — but for us, one of the biggest perks isn’t about money at all. It’s the freedom. The ability to book a spontaneous weekend away or say “yes” to a special event without stressing over ticket prices or blackout dates. That peace of mind? Worth its weight in gold
It’s not perfect—we’d love to see more reservation slots available to Gold Pass holders and the return of year-round discounted guest tickets and hotel offers. But for what we got out of it, we’d confidently rate it an 8 out of 10.
We’re currently looking at the best time to renew so we can take advantage of the 15% renewal discount. If you plan your trips right and want to experience the full Disneyland Paris calendar, we’d recommend the Gold Pass in a heartbeat.
Where We Stay: Room-Only Bookings & Hotel Tips for Gold Disneyland Passholders
One of the underrated benefits of having a Gold Disneyland Pass is the flexibility it gives you with where and how you stay — especially when it comes to booking room-only stays at Disney hotels.
Because your pass acts as your park ticket for the year, you’re not tied into hotel + ticket packages. Instead, you’re free to book just the hotel room, which can unlock huge savings and make last-minute trips feel a lot more doable.
We’ve done this ourselves — especially during busy periods like New Year’s Eve, when we booked a one-night room-only stay at a Disney hotel to guarantee access into the parks on January 1st. That meant we didn’t have to use one of our limited reservation slots, and it gave us peace of mind during one of the busiest times of the year.
Outside of those busy dates, we’ve also found that having the Gold Pass means we can shop around more freely for accommodation — whether that’s booking directly through Disney, or using third-party hotel sites or staying at Air B&B’s and still enjoy full days in the parks.
Disneyland Paris also offers hotel discounts at random times throughout the year and being able to book room-only stays when and where we want has made our visits simpler, cheaper, and far more spontaneous!
Is the Gold Disneyland Pass Worth the Upgrade?
For us, the answer is a clear yes—but it really depends on when you want to visit Disneyland Paris.
We ran the numbers, and just our five-day Christmas and New Year trip would have cost around €600 in park tickets alone, with prices soaring to €175 for a single day on New Year’s Eve. That’s without even adding in other trips we made during Halloween, spring break, and multiple weekends throughout the year. With the Gold Disneyland Pass costing €699, it paid for itself in that one festive trip.
Now, compare that to the Silver Pass. It’s cheaper, sure—but those blockout dates are a dealbreaker for us. If you want to visit during October half-term, Christmas week, Disneyland Paris’ birthday in April, or any of the May bank holidays, you’re out of luck with Silver. And if you try to patch that with single-day tickets, it quickly becomes more expensive than just going Gold in the first place.
So yes, the upgrade to the Gold Disneyland Pass might not be for everyone—but if you’re planning trips during peak seasons, even just once or twice, it makes total sense financially and practically.
What We’d Love to See Improved with the Gold Disneyland Pass
While the Gold Disneyland Pass has saved us a lot and made our trips easy and flexible, there are a few areas where we’d love to see Disneyland Paris step things up.
More Park Reservations for Gold Holders
Right now, all annual passholders—whether Bronze or Gold—get the same limit of three active park reservations at a time. For the highest tier pass, this feels like a missed opportunity. We’d love to see a system where reservation limits are tied to your pass level. Imagine if Bronze had 3, Silver had 5, and Gold had 6 or 7 reservations? It would make trip planning so much smoother, especially for frequent visitors like us.
Return of Hotel Discounts and Privilege Tickets
One of the biggest things we miss are the consistent Privilege Tickets and hotel discounts. These used to be available throughout the year, making it easier to plan trips with friends and family or snag a better deal on Disney hotels. Now, they appear occasionally with very short booking windows. We’d love to see these benefits return with more flexibility and better availability.
Overall, we’re happy—but a few thoughtful changes like these would make the Gold Disneyland Pass even more magical.
Who Is the Gold Disneyland Pass For?
The Gold Disneyland Pass is made for those of us who visit regularly, plan ahead, and want the freedom to enjoy Disneyland Paris whenever we choose—without having to worry about blocked-out dates.
It’s the perfect fit if:
You want to experience seasonal events like Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Disneyland Paris’ birthday in April
You’re travelling multiple times a year—three visits or more is where the value really kicks in
If you (or your friends) drive to the parks and can take advantage of free parking (which is a huge saving over multiple visits)
You love character meets and want unlimited PhotoPass downloads to capture all those moments without thinking about snapping pics yourself
You want to save money on tickets, food, drinks, and merchandise—especially if you visit with family or friends
We’d say the Gold Pass makes the most sense if you visit for longer stays (3+ days at a time), want to come during busy periods, and enjoy the flexibility of being able to plan trips throughout the year.
If you’re only planning one or two short visits and aren’t fussed about seasonal events, the Silver Pass might suit you better. But for anyone who wants to unlock the full year of magic—including the busiest and most exciting times—Gold is the way to go!

Steps to follow the Disneyland Pass online
Whether you’re a first-time buyer or replacing an existing pass, here’s everything you need to know on how to buy the Disneyland Pass (Disneyland Paris Annual Pass)/
Online Purchase Process
The easiest way to get your Disneyland Pass is from the comfort of your home (or wherever you are, really) by purchasing it online. Here’s a quick rundown of the process:
1. Open the Disneyland Paris Website:
Head to the Disneyland Paris website, but here’s a tip—make sure you’re browsing the French, Belgian, or Dutch versions of the site. These versions allow online purchases, and you can use your browser’s translation feature if needed.
- Click here to open open the Annual Pass page in a new window, allowing you to continue to read our guide.
- If using Google Chrome, click the “GT” letters and choose “English” (or your specific language). This will translate the page into your selected language
- If using an iPhone, click the “aA” letters and choose “Translate to English” (or your specific language). This will translate the page into your selected language
2. Choose Your Pass and add it to the basket
Select the tier that suits you best—Bronze, Silver, or Gold. Payment Options: You’ll be given two payment options—either pay the full amount upfront or you can opt for a monthly payment plan (if your bank supports Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) direct debits). For example, the Silver Pass has a one-time payment of €499, or you can pay €34 a month after a deposit of €125.
2. Follow the onscreen prompts
To complete the purchase online, simply follow the onscreen steps.
If possible we recommend the single-time payment method to avoid any potential issues with SEPA monthly payments and it also means you have less paperwork to complete and send to Disneyland Paris after!
We also recommend choosing to checkout with PAYPAL. This has two main benefits when buying the Disneyland Paris annual pass online. Firstly, it avoids any potential issues when buying an item in another currency. Secondly, this allows you to take advantage of the PAYPAL ‘pay in…’ option to spread the cost without having to set up SEPA bank statements. Making it even easier to buy online!
