NEW CHARACTER MEET & GREET VIRTUAL QUEUES
MEET MICKEY, PRINCESS PAVILION, STITCH, OLAF AND STARPORT!
New Virtual Queue System for Character Meet and Greets
Meeting your favourite Disney characters at Disneyland Paris just got a whole lot easier—if you know how to work the magic of the virtual queue.
Starting today, 18 April 2025, the virtual queue system used at the Hero Training Center is expanding to more character meet and greets. If you’ve already used it to train with Spider-Man, you’ll feel right at home—same system, just more friendly faces.
The first to launch is Stitch at Videopolis, as part of the Disney Music Festival. Other beloved characters—including Mickey Mouse, Olaf, Disney Princesses, and a Star Wars legend—will join the virtual queue lineup in the coming weeks.
This guide covers everything you need to know: how the virtual queue works, which characters are included, and a few handy tips to help you skip the long lines and dive straight into the hugs, high-fives, and magical selfies.
Who Can You Meet with a Virtual Queue?
Let’s be honest—character meet and greets are pure Disney magic. But standing in a queue for 90 minutes just to high-five Stitch? Not quite as enchanting. Thankfully, with the expanded virtual queue system at Disneyland Paris, you can now book your spot in advance and skip the long waits.
Here’s who you’ll be able to meet using the virtual queue:
Stitch - Starts April 18th!
Stitch at Videopolis From 18 April 2025, Stitch is officially the first new character to join the virtual queue lineup. As part of the Disney Music Festival, you can now book your meeting with everyone’s favourite mischievous alien through the official Disneyland Paris app.
No more waiting around—just you, Stitch, and a whole lot of chaos (the good kind).
Mickey Mouse, Princess Pavilion, Olaf and Starport coming soon...
These character experiences will be added to the virtual queue system over the next few weeks—so keep an eye on the app for go-live dates:
Mickey Mouse at Meet Mickey Mouse
It’s not a trip to Disneyland Paris without saying hello to the big cheese himself. Soon, you’ll be able to meet Mickey without queueing like it’s 1992.
Olaf at Animation Celebration
Ready for warm hugs? Olaf will be joining the virtual queue lineup soon, which is perfect if you’ve got Frozen fans in your crew (or if you just want to avoid melting in a long line).
Disney Princesses at Princess Pavilion
For little royals (and big ones too), meeting a Disney Princess is a must. The Princess Pavilion will soon switch over to virtual bookings, making it easier to plan those regal encounters, and avoid those 120 minute wait times!
A Star Wars Character at Starport
Whether you’re Team Light Side or secretly rooting for the Dark Side, your hyperspace jump into the Star Wars galaxy will soon be just a few taps away.
Important Things to Know Before You Book
Before you dive into booking that magical meet and greet, there are a few important details you’ll want to know. Nothing tricky—just some helpful info to make sure everything goes smoothly…
One at a time
You can hold one character meet and greet reservation at a time. Once your booking is completed or cancelled, you can reserve your next one. In total, (and once all virtual queues have gone live) you can enjoy up to five meet and greets per day, subject to availability.
And no, you can’t book the same character twice in one day—sorry, Princess fans!
Your Ticket Type Matters
The park your ticket is scanned in will affect where you can book a meet and greet and you must be scanned into the park to join the virtual queue.
- If you have a 1-day/1-park ticket, you can only book meet and greets inside the park your ticket was scanned at.
- If you’ve got a 1-day/2-park ticket, you’re free to book meet and greets in either Disneyland Park or Walt Disney Studios Park—once your ticket has been scanned at the gate.
So if you’re planning to hop between parks, make sure your ticket matches your plans before reserving.

Virtual Queue Overview for Character Meet-and-Greets
The virtual queue system at Disneyland Paris allows you to book your spot digitally, so you can meet characters like Stitch, Mickey, Olaf, and more with minimal waiting time. Instead of standing in a long physical queue, you’ll reserve your time slot via the app and get notified when it’s time to meet your favourite character.

Linking Your Park Tickets, Passes, or Hotel Booking in Advance
Before you step foot in the park, it’s essential to link all of your tickets, passes, or hotel bookings to your Disneyland Paris app account. This ensures you’re ready to access the virtual queue the moment it opens. Here’s how:
- Tickets: If you’re visiting with single-day tickets or a Park Hopper ticket, link them to your app under “My Account” and “My Tickets & Passes.”
- Hotel Booking: If you’ve booked a Disney Hotel package, your hotel stay will grant you access to the virtual queue, so be sure to link your reservation to the DLP App in advance.
- Annual Pass: If you have an annual pass, don’t forget to link it to your account as well. This will allow you to join the queue right when it opens.

What Makes This System a Game-Changer?
If you’ve ever found yourself staring at a 90-minute queue for a quick selfie with Mickey, you’ll know that traditional lines can sometimes take the magic out of your day. But with the virtual queue system now in place, Disneyland Paris has taken the hassle out of meet and greets—and here’s why that’s such a big deal:
Less Waiting, More Playing
One of the best things about this virtual queue is the ability to enjoy the park while you wait. No more standing around, trying to entertain the kids or avoid overheating in the sun (or rain). Once you’ve reserved your time slot, you’ll be free to wander around, grab a snack, or even ride and attraction while your phone notifies you when it’s time to head over to your meet and greet.
Predictable Scheduling = Better Planning
If you’re the type of person who likes to plan your day (and let’s face it, who doesn’t want to maximise their Disney magic?), this system is a dream. With a virtual queue, you can build your day around your meet-up slots.
Perfect for Families
For families, this virtual queue system is a game-changer. Instead of the whole family standing in a long line while one or two members meet the characters, everyone can go off and enjoy other parts of the park. You’re not wasting precious park time, and you can maximise your experience together without compromising on those unforgettable meet and greet moments.
Accessible for Everyone
The virtual queue ensures that everyone—regardless of ability or circumstance—has equal access to these magical moments. With a few simple taps, guests with disabilities can enjoy meet and greets just like everyone else, with no need for long waits or physical queues.
In short, this new system makes Disney days a little bit smoother, a lot more fun, and a whole lot less stressful. More time for rides, snacks, and magical memories. Who wouldn’t want that?

Character Virtual Queues FAQ
1. How many meet-and-greets can I book in a day?
You can reserve up to five meet-and-greets per day, but only one at a time. Once your current booking is completed or cancelled, you’ll be able to reserve your next one. So, while you can meet up with a variety of characters, you can’t double-book the same one on the same day.
2. Can I book the same character more than once in a day?
No, each guest can meet each character only once per day. This allows more guests to enjoy the magic and keeps things fair for everyone.
3. Do children need a reservation too?
Yes, all guests need a reservation, including children over 3 years old. However, children under 3 do not need their own reservation and can join the family during the meet and greet.
4. What happens if I don’t have a smartphone?
If you don’t have a smartphone or can’t access the Disneyland Paris app, you can request assistance from a Cast Member at the relevant meet-and-greet location. However, this will be subject to availability, so it’s best to use the app if you can.
5. How does the reservation system work with different ticket types?
- If you have a 1-day/1-park ticket, you can only book meet-and-greets in the park where your ticket is scanned.
- With a 1-day/2-park ticket, you’re free to book meet-and-greets in either park, once your ticket has been scanned.
6. What if I can’t find availability for my preferred character?
Availability can fill up quickly, so it’s best to book early once you enter the park. If slots are full, keep checking the app for cancellations or availability later in the day.
7. Will there be physical queues for character meet-and-greets?
No, physical queues for these meet-and-greet experiences will no longer be available. All bookings must be made via the virtual queue system, ensuring a smoother, quicker experience for everyone.
8. Can I meet the same character in both parks?
None of the characters within the Virtual Queue appear in both parks.
Walt Disney Studios – Olaf
Disneyland Park – Stitch, Meet Mickey, Princess Pavilion, and Starport
9. How will I know when it’s my time to meet the character?
Once you’ve reserved your spot, you’ll receive notifications via the Disneyland Paris app letting you know when it’s time to head over. That way, you can explore the park without worrying about timing.
10. Is the virtual queue system available for all character meet-and-greets?
Not yet. The system is currently available for Stitch at Videopolis, with more characters—like Mickey, Olaf, and the Disney Princesses—joining the system in the coming weeks.
